Nicola completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Strathclyde, in 2010, which triggered her passion for clinical research within Emergency Medicine. Her experience further inspired her to undertake a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Glasgow which she completed in 2015.

Nicola has been working within the Emergency Department at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital since 2016. She has recently been appointed as the first Senior Research Nurse within the QEUH EMQUIRE team. This has given her the opportunity to become the Emergency Department liason to the Clinical Research Facility on trials such as: RAPID- CTCA, SABER and Pro-TEDS.
