The COVID-19 pandemic has led to unprecedented challenges to healthcare systems across the world. Enquire is contributing to NHS GGC response to this challenge across a range of projects. We have repurposed existing work streams including iCAIRD and TraumaApp with existing collaborators whilst building new relationships to develop solutions that can impact on care delivery.
EmQuire were successful in 4 CSO grants with University of Glasgow and Stirling:
Each of these projects seeks to develop our understanding of C-19 and evolve our response through enhanced risk stratification, device validation and refining the phenotypical description of the disease.
iCAIRD has also pivoted to respond to the disease with existing collaborators Canon and Bering working to develop a ML based approach to screening utilising CXR and CT imaging combined with EHR.
Over the coming months the team will continue to develop these projects and continue to develop further work streams. See individual projects.
OCTS (Outcomes following Chest Trauma Score) has begun in the QEUH ED!
This study aims to measure patient reported outcomes following rib fractures to optimise and improve care of this patient group. The patient will be asked to fill in a questionnaire at time of injury and two follow up questionnaires to assess how they feel they have progressed. If you identify any patients with rib fractures following trauma contact the research team on 82054.
